Synopsis by Augustine Chay
Sadaf Asgari, Behnaz Jafari, and Babak Karimi star in writer-director Massoud Bakhshi’s Iranian drama film. A 22-year-old woman accidentally kills her 65-year-old husband – and receives the death penalty. She has the opportunity to save her life by begging for forgiveness from her husband’s daughter on a live TV show scheduled on the symbolic Yald? Night. Instead of adhering to the familiar script of repentance, forgiveness, and redemption, she argues for her innocence.
