Composer Alban Berg's darkly tragic opera Wozzeck tells the story of the innocent and well-meaning soldier of the title, who loses his sense of self and becomes a murderer. The Frankfurter Museum Orchester and the Choir and Children's Choir of the Frankfurter Oper provide musical accompaniment to this production of the opera, mounted on the stage by Peter Mussbach and filmed for home video. Dale Duesing stars as the eponymous figure, with Barry Banks as Andres and Kristine Ciesinski as Marie. Mussbach also designed the gothic sets.
