Synopsis by Rob Ferrier

This video documents the story of Sempo Sugihara, a man who defied the wishes of the Japanese government and their Nazi allies by issuing six thousand visas that allowed people of Jewish ancestry to escape the clutches of the Nazis. Included are interviews with Sugihara's son, a man who wrote a book about the remarkable man, and Mordecai Paldiel, the Director for the Department of the Righteous among nations. Also included is a visit to Yad Vahsem, the garden in Jerusalem where a tree is planted in Sugihara's memory.
