This PBS documentary is part of a series that makes a study of warriors, weapons, and tactics of World War II, when strategy could subdue brute force and design could defeat the human will. Archival film footage, photographs, and innovative graphics illustrate the technological and human side of warfare. This episode tells the story of the amphibious action that took place on D-Day at the landing on the shores of Normandy.
