Synopsis by Elizabeth Smith

Baron Hugo Van Lawick is a famous wildlife filmmaker who has lived and worked in Tanzania and other parts of Africa for almost 30 years. He has won many Emmy Awards and has used his outstanding talents once more while filming this program about the large African antelope known both as a wildebeest and a gnu. As the footage reveals, this animal has a head, shoulders, and horns like those of an ox. The wildebeest also sports bristly facial hair, a mane, and a tail like that found on a horse. The basic living and mating habits of this animal are explained by Van Lawick.
