Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

To Hawaiian natives, music is as much a key to the culture of the islands as it is a form of entertainment. Inspired by ancient chants and infused with the spirit of 19th Century gospel, the poetry of Hawaiian music is explored in great detail in the fourth installment of Eddie Kamae's popular "Hawaiian Legacy" series. In addition to providing the opportunity for viewers to hear the music themselves, this documentary offers detailed interviews with a variety of popular island musicians such as Pualani Kanahele, Hoapili Smith, Clyde "Kindy" Sproat, Helena Maka Santos, and Lydia "Mama" Hale.
