Independent filmmaker Tony Greer makes his feature debut with Word, a documentary about underground hip-hop. Features live performances and interviews with Dead Prez, Company Flow, and Eminem, as well as innovators Melle Mel and the Last Poets. Filmed entirely in New York City, Word covers the last two decades of hip-hop from its underground urban beginnings to its place as a multimillion-dollar worldwide industry.
