Synopsis by Sarah Ing
The most notorious space phenomenon on Earth, Halley's Comet, is unveiled in this TLC presentation Wonders of the Universe: Once in a Lifetime. Seen only every 76 years, the popular comet has been around for at least 3,000 years. First recorded as a sign from God, Halley's Comet has since been analyzed and demystified. Computer animation and real images re-create the once a century journey of this aged flier. Comet Shoemaker Levy also makes an appearance as its collision with Jupiter is remembered.
