Radiance Records head man Newquay (Tim Curry) exacts a terrible vengeance when Vinnie (Ken Wahl) and Twine (Paul Winfield) try to acquire one of Radiance's biggest stars, singer Eddie Tempest (Billy Wirth). Revenge becomes even sweeter for Newquay when he buys out Twine's Shakala record label, effectively becoming Vinnie's boss. Meanwhile, Bobby Travis (Glenn Frey) begins to suspect that Twine is no more to be trusted than the conniving Newquay.
