Former series star Ken Wahl is nowhere to be seen as Wiseguy begins its fourth and final season. To explain away the absence of Wahl's character, federal undercover agent Vinnie Terranova, the season's first episode orginally ran two hours, briefly recapping the events that led to Vinnie becoming a fugitve from his home agency, the OCB. Owing his life to the missing Vinnie, his former boss McPike (Jonathan Banks) makes it his personal mission to locate the renegade agent. The trail leads to Miami, home base of Cuban-American businessman Amado Guzman (Maximillian Schell), the last known person to see Vinnie alive. For syndication purposes, this episode has been divided into two 60-minute installments.
