Synopsis by Janiss Garza

After her mother (Mazie Radford) and sister are killed by Indians, a young girl (Mae Marsh) grows up wild in the Sierras, with only the beasts of the forest as her friends. Her peaceful life is interrupted by the arrival of Jim Hamilton (villain extraordinare Wilfred Lucas) and his mistress (Olga Grey). With them is Bob Jordon (Robert Harron), who they have pegged as a sucker; they are trying to sell him a worthless mine. When Bob sees the wild girl, he mistakes her for an animal and shoots her. He then discovers that she is a young woman -- a pretty one at that -- and they forge a relationship. Hamilton and his moll are unable to scam Bob, and he remains in the Sierras with his ladylove.
