Synopsis by Janiss Garza

For their motion picture debut, renowned dancers Vernon and Irene Castle played it safe, but not too safe -- they told the story of their rise to fame, but peppered it with lots of melodrama, humor and, of course, their famed renditions of the fox trot, one step, pigeon walk and other dances that nowadays seem charmingly antiquated. Arthur Stanford plays the villain -a suitor for the hand of the former Irene Foote, who kidnaps her and tries to force himself on her. Vernon comes to the rescue in a travesty on serial-type chases and eventually the couple makes their triumphant Parisian debut. The funniest title card in the picture referred to Ford and his new-fangled assembly-line cars -- when one is wrecked, the card reads: "Ford turns them out every minute. Why weep over one?" Vernon Castle himself wrote the story.
