Synopsis by Janiss Garza

In this comedy/melodrama, Enid Bennett plays Nora, an actress with a struggling touring company. While they are performing Uncle Tom's Cabin in a horrible little Texas town, the sheriff comes in with an attachment against the show. Nora, dressed as Little Eva, escapes and hops a freight train. An over-amorous tramp causes her to jump from the train into a field, where she is arrested as a suspicious character. But she is saved from jail by kindly Ma Forbes (Gertrude Claire), who needs some help with her summer boarders. These boarders, "Soup" McCool (Jack Nelson) and "Pug" Hennessy (Robert McKim), unbeknownst to Ma Forbes, are bank robbers and swindlers. First they swindle Ma's son, James (Al Ray) by enticing him into a card game where they skin him for 300 dollars. James, a bank cashier, steals the money from his job to pay the debt. Then Soup and Pug plan to rob the bank with the help of Nora, who they assume to be the lady safecracker whom they were expecting. Nora goes along with the ruse and opens the safe for them with the combination James has given her. Then, as soon as they've got the goods -- including the 300 dollars from James -- she sounds the alarm and makes sure that they are captured. After that, James quickly proposes to Nora. This film was one of many made by director Fred Niblo which starred his wife, Enid Bennett.
