When pre-1920 silent films weren't glorifying the Northwest Mounted Police, it seemed like they were hailing the Texas Rangers instead. The heroics in this action picture are executed by virile leading man William Russell. Russell is William Sykes, a ranger who is given the task of seeing that a gold shipment arrives safely at its destination. Almost on cue, the train is attacked by bandits, who nearly overcome the Rangers, but when the good guys begin to make some headway, the bad guys escape. The bandits find refuge at a ranch, mainly because they have convinced the rancher that they are the Rangers, and that the Rangers who are pursuing them are the bandits. When Sykes and his men come around, the rancher holds them off, allowing the bandits to escape. The man's daughter, Guadalupe (Lule Warrenton), is especially determined to kill Sykes, who she believes to be the bandit king. When she figures out the truth, she falls in love with him instead, and they find romance while justice is being served.
