Synopsis by Nathan Southern

A series directed toward young children, What's in the Bible finds VeggieTales creator Phil Vischer and a number of his puppet friends teaming up to teach kids about the content of the Christian scriptures, Old and New Testament. This fifth volume of the series contains two episodes, in which intrepid news reporter Buck Denver and his pals examine the content of the Old Testament books of I and II Samuel. The installments dramatize the adventures of such figures as Solomon, David and Saul, while another section ('Tricky Bits') discusses the Trinity, after disclosing the news that the Spirit of the Lord descended on David. The program also examines the connection between God's promise to David and the salvation that manifested itself with the birth of Christ, and discusses what happens when individuals such as David and other regents sin against the Lord.
