Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Stage star Maclyn Arbuckle also made quite a few good motion pictures, and he is especially amusing in this farce, based on the play by George V. Hobart. Jim Scott (Arbuckle) comes to New York City with his wife. When he steals out of their hotel room one night in search of a little excitement, he gets far more than he bargained for. He sees a distressed young woman in tears and when he tries to help her, they both wind up getting arrested -and that's only the beginning. Among other adventures, Scott gets quarantined for smallpox, loses ten thousand dollars and is almost killed by an extremely jealous husband. But before Scott's marriage can be totally ruined, the truth comes out -- the whole episode was arranged by his son. The young man has gone to all this trouble because he wishes to marry a chorus girl and he wants his father's consent.
