Synopsis by Jonathan Crow

Noted filmmaker Yim Ho for his third directorial effort spins this broad romantic farce. The film opens with the elderly but rich Mr. Chow nearly killing perky young teenaged girl Tai Shui (Suet Lei) with his car. Chow's employee, television star Alexander Ha, quickly steps in to settle the girl's family's grievances. Shui's family readily agrees to being showered with all sorts of consumer appliances, but they balk at marrying the girl off to the aging lecher since she is already betrothed to Kiu (Yee Lui), a doltish clam fryer. To complicate matters, Shui has completely and utterly fallen in love with Alexander. While the rakish television host tries to con the girl into marrying his boss, Kiu takes a more direct approach and kidnaps her.
