Synopsis by Mark Deming
Filmmaker Martha Colburn created this animated short subject which uses photos of male pin-ups from gay magazines combined with original artwork to create a pop-art frenzy of sex and violence behind bars. Featuring music by Felix Kubin and Coolhaven, Waschdrang Mama was screened in competition at the 2007 Rotterdam International Film Festival.
