Synopsis by Matthew Tobey

From Bulgarian filmmaker Kostadin Bonev and first-time screenwriter Mile Nedelkovski comes this drama set in the mountains of Macedonia. The film follows a group of documentary filmmakers as they attempt to make a film exploring the history of the Balkan conflict through the eyes of Katerina Vandeva (Svetlana Yantcheva), a woman who is a descendant of one of the region's most famous and ancient families. Unfortunately, a group of officials from the state wish to shut down the production so that they can manipulate Katerina for their own political gains. The filmmakers are left with the decision of obeying the authorities or continuing to make the film so that the truth can be preserved. Also starring Bilyana Kazakova, Snegina Petrova, and Galin Stoev, Podgryavane Na Vcherashniya Obed had its U.S. premiere at the 2003 Palm Springs International Film Festival. The title translates to Warming Up Yesterday's Lunch.
