War Stories: The Merchant Marine is a short documentary narrated by WWII veterans of the U.S. Merchant Marine, the U.S. Naval Armed Guard, and steelworkers of the Kaiser shipyards. Featuring rare black-and-white footage, the video honors and profiles these American veterans, and explains the importance of the convoy system in the delivery of crucial supplies to the Allies. These Merchant Marines lived high-risk, high-danger lives of courage and strength.
