Synopsis by Hal Erickson
A presentation of ITV's London Weekend Television service, Wake Up London was not so much a series as an insert. Telecast in five-minute "squibs" throughout the network's Sunday-morning schedule, the series provided a breezy, irreverent guide to current social and cultural activities in the London region. The hosts included such music-and-comedy aggregations as "the Vicious Boys" and "Rabbitt and Doon." First telecast as an independent entity in 1985, Wake Up London was eventually absorbed into the ITV weekend potpourri Get Fresh.
