Aime Helbing is a 91-year old man who, like many elderly people, has found himself looking back at his life and pondering how he might have done certain things differently. While Helbing enjoyed a successful career as a classical musician, he preferred the safety of playing with an orchestra to the risks of stepping forward as a solo artist (a possibility that he cannot explore now that his hearing has started to fail him), and though he had a desire to see the world, he never acted on his great dream of visiting Morocco. However, Helbing's grandson, filmmaker Georgi Lazarevski, has decided this is one wish that should not go unfulfilled; with Lazarevski and a small camera crew tagging along, Helbing travels to Morocco, despite the misgivings of his wife, and gets a taste of the life he's always wanted to live. Lazarevski has fashioned the footage from this journey with his grandfather into a documentary, Voyage en Sol Majeur, which offers the message that one is never too old to embrace life's joys and challenges. Voyage en Sol Majeur (aka Voyage in G Major) received its world premiere at the 2007 Silverdocs Film Festival, a festival for documentary cinema sponsored in part by the American Film Institute.
