In the year 2097, Neo Hong Kong is about to be crippled by a man calling himself The Incubator. He has created a virus that can infect not only humans, but machines as well. In order to combat the threat, an elite squad of experts called STAND pilot mechanized armor known as Variable Gear. One young pilot of STAND, however, has more in mind than the good of Neo Hong Kong: Serge has been having disturbing dreams that have convinced him that STAND's leader, Raven, should be assassinated. Before he can carry out his plan, however, Raven notices him and his tremendous skill as a pilot. Is Serge's feeling about Raven coming from a higher power, or is he losing his mind? And will the preoccupation help or hinder STAND's race against time to prevent every man, woman and machine in Neo Hong Kong from dropping dead?
