Synopsis by Nathan Southern

Per its title, Vintage World Series: Minnesota Twins packs the highlights from two Minnesota Twins World Series, sans commercials, into a single release. This volume first reflects on the 1987 series between the Twins and the St. Louis Cardinals - which the Twins won, four games to three. Highlights include: Dan Gladden's grand slam homer in the fourth inning of the first game, Kent Krbek's grand slame in the sixth game of the series, and Jeff Reardon's closer in the seventh game. The volume then tours the highlights of the 1991 series, between the Minnesota Twins and the Atlanta Braves - which ESPN named the best World Series ever played. The Twins won all seven games in that stretch, with highlights including Kirby Puckett's defense in game six and the Hrbek-Harper 3-2-3 double play in game seven. This volume also includes the official recap and highlight films from both series.
