Synopsis by Cammila Collar
This cerebral drama follows the story of Viktoria (Kalina Vitkova), a Bulgarian girl who is born in 1979 without an umbilical cord. Her country's Communist leaders quickly seize on her as a propaganda symbol, leaving her embittered mother (Irmena Chichikova) unable to flee to the West. When the Communist regime collapses ten years later, mom and daughter are forced to reevaluate their relationship. Written and directed by Maya Vitkova.
