Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka
Like most other films from Yugoslavian directors at this time, Vetar Je Stao Pred Zoru is another that deals with the topic of resistance fighters as they combat the German occupation of their country. Although there is a certain amount of suspense as the fighters risk their lives in forays against the Germans, there is nothing new in their exploits no matter how well-acted, and as is so often the case in these films, lengthy, recurrent conversations weigh down the action. This film was an entry at the 1959 Pula Film Festival.
