Synopsis by Jonathan Crow

Billy Chan Wui-ngai spins this largely panned action flick about a group of women struggling to graduate from a Mainland Chinese SWAT team police academy and prove themselves on the streets. The film centers on the strong-willed Feng Tin (Jade Leung Ching) who signed on to impress her aloof, sexist father. After his son -- a crack soldier and the apple of his father's eye -- died in battle, Feng Tin's father never quite recovered. By joining the Special Unit, Feng Tin hopes to restore her father's reason for living. Much of the film shows Feng Tin and her comrades enduring grueling target practice, combat exercises, and training sessions. When they get onto the street, they successfully manage to subdue a rowdy band of day laborers wielding blunt instruments with a few well-placed kicks. This film also features Zhang Fengyi of Farewell, My Concubine fame.
