Synopsis by Clarke Fountain

In this romantic comedy, Natalya Gundareva plays a high-strung woman whose efforts to find a man who will take her away from her village and collective farm constantly fail. She is frequently put in the embarrassing situation of returning from the train station carrying her getaway suitcase, having failed once again to find a rescuer. Not only that, but this time she must recover the belongings she gave away to neighbors and evict the man who has taken her room at the farm. However, she only succeeds in getting permission to stay in the new man's room -- and he has an out-of-town guest who is staying there also. She falls for the smooth-talking visitor and believes once again that she has found her rescuer. The room's new tenant, a veterinarian who does genuinely care for her, arranges to leave for another city. He is on his way to catch his train when she finally figures out where her own affections actually belong.
