In this melodrama with overtones of the occult, Venusita (Elena de Haro) falls in love with the scion of a wealthy family whose mother, very conscious of their social position, sends her son off to the United States in order to keep the two apart. Not to be rejected so easily, Venusita visits Saurina the sorceress (Irma Serrano) who comes up with a spell that kills off the merchant and zaps the son back home -- but Venusita's problems are far from over.
