Don't let the title fool you: Up Yours - A Rockin' Comedy might deal in raunchy humor but it definitely sits on the gentler end of that distinction. The script offers a ragbag of short, blackout style comedy skits, loosely connected by the idea of the building they take place in acting as the film's narrator. These skits are usually built around lengthy, complicated setups that lead to rather perfunctory punchlines. The episodic nature of the film doesn't leave much room for performances from the actors but a few make an impression: Belinda Belaski is amusing as a put-upon woman dealing with an obscene phone caller and Cindy Morgan is both sexy and likeable despite the oft-lame schtick she is saddled with as the "voice" of the building. The direction by John Hayes and Eddie Ryder is perfunctory at best. Most modern viewers are likely to find the humdrum, frequently dated humor of Up Yours - A Rockin' Comedy too quaint but the film is just eccentric enough that it might offer a small level of interest for cult movie types. Ultimately, this is a curiosity piece.
