Synopsis by Mark Deming

Offering a progressive spin on hip-hop with lyrics that confronted social issues with honesty, intelligence, and a dash of humor, Arrested Development scored a major hit in 1992 with the album 3 Years, 5 Months and 2 Days in the Life Of..., and they were one of the first rap acts to perform an acoustic set on MTV Unplugged. MTV Unplugged: Arrested Development features nine songs from the group's set, including "Mr. Wendel," "People Everyday," "Give a Man a Fish," "Mama's Always on Stage," and more.
