Award-winning directors Rodrigo Barriuso and Sebastián Barriuso's historical drama is based on the true story of how thousands of Chernobyl victims were sent to Havana, Cuba for medical treatment. Rodrigo Santoro stars as a Russian literature professor who is ordered to serve as a translator between the Cuban doctors and the families of young Chernobyl victims. As he develops deep bonds with the children, Cuba plunges into economic uncertainty when the Soviet Union dissolves.
