Diane Cilento headed the cast of the British drama series Tycoon. Upon the death of her executive husband, Diana Clark (Cilento) took charge of his business enterprises. Though she had little experience in the high-pressure world of commerce, Diana proved her worth many times over to employees and stockholders alike -- but not without exacting a heavy toll on her private life. John Sichel created the series, and wrote most of the episodes. The first of Tycoon's 13 50-minute installments was broadcast by the BBC on September 18, 1978.
