Synopsis by Jason Buchanan
The glamour of old Hollywood meets the glitz of contemporary Tinseltown in writer/director Bernard Rose's adaptation of Leo Tolstoy's short story Two Hussars. It seemed like a lifetime ago when celebrated movie director Jack Hussar (Danny Huston) swept the gorgeous Diana (Sienna Miller) off her feet during a whirlwind trip to Hollywood to raise financing for his latest film. From the wild industry parties to the tense poker game at sunrise, that night was the stuff of legends. Years later, Jack Hussar Jr. (Jack Huston) shows up in Hollywood eager to bankroll his feature debut. As the present begins to echo the past, an aging Diana (Jacqueline Bisset) watches sentimentally while Jack Jr. sweeps her daughter off her feet with the same charisma as his legendary father. Before this night is over, a whole new chapter in Hollywood history will be written.
