Tsukikage Ran is a female samurai, a ronin who wanders Japan relying on her exceptional swordsmanship to keep her alive. When she runs into Myao, a girl from China who is an expert of the NekoTekken school of martial arts, she finally meets her match. Together, they work to battle corruption, crime, and yakuza bosses who take their power over villagers too far. Sometimes the two get themselves into more trouble than they solve, but there's seldom a problem for either of them that a good glass of sake won't solve.
