Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Trigger Happy TV has been described as the British answer to America's Candid Camera, except that most of the innocent bystanders caught in the act of being themselves were in on the joke. Host Dom Joly sent his camera crew out on the streets of London, hoping to recruit passersby who would agree to perform wacky stunts and pull practical jokes on the unwary. Occasionally the festivities were enlivened by such guest jokesters and stunt-ers (and sometimes victims) as Alice Cooper and Terry Gilliam. Debuting January 14, 2000 on Britain's Channel 4, Trigger Happy TV lasted 12 episodes.
