This postwar, poignant drama is about an elderly man searching for his daughter against considerable odds. She became separated from him during the hostilities and given the many waves of troops that came and went at the beginning and end of the war his chances of finding her seem bleak. Nevertheless, the man is convinced that his daughter is still alive somewhere and as long as he has no proof otherwise, he will continue his solitary, determined search. A litttle weak in the acting, scripting, and directing departments, the story still has its moments and retains a certain amount of human interest throughout.
