Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Although Edith Storey signed up with Metro in 1917, she only made a few films before going to France to volunteer as an ambulance driver during World War I. This was one of her last films before she left for the front. Lawyer Harry Ames (Lewis Willoughby) believes that he will win Margaret Elkins (Storey) if he brings her and her father (Josef Swickard) down to his financial level. To achieve his aim, he ruins Elkins and puts the blame on Jim Hardwick (Lew Cody). Elkins travels to the Pacific Ocean with his daughter so he can mend his shattered nerves. Hardwick is also there on business and he falls in love with Margaret who, like her father, is convinced that he is the enemy. A treasure ship is uncovered on the beach and both Hardwick and Margaret hire crews to get to the bullion. Ames shows up, and Margaret eavesdrops on a conversation which reveals that he is the one who ruined her father. Ames faces the wrath of all, while Margaret unites with Hardwick.
