Synopsis by Hal Erickson

On the second leg of his Scandinavian holiday, Rick Steves arrives in Stockholm, the "green, clean, and underrated" capitol city of Sweden. After witnessing the changing of the guard at the Royal Palace, he revels in a performance of the 17th century baroque opera Eurydice. Other fabulous sights include the perfectly preserved 17th century Vasa warship and the Baltic Archipelago, complemented by Rick's unending stream of historical facts and trivia. (Did you know that it was a Swede who invented the monkey wrench?) Episode 43 of Travels in Europe With Rick Stevens ends with a foray into Finland and a guided tour of Helsinki, including the Uspenky Cathedral, Finlandia Hall, Senate Square, and "The Church in the Rock."
