Synopsis by Hal Erickson

In episode 28 of his popular PBS travel series, Rick Steves drops in on the two great capitols of Eastern Europe: Prague and Budapest. Rick ambles through the streets of Prague, once the capital of the Holy Roman empire, the home of Mozart, and still overseen by the statue of Good King Wenceslas. Leaving the Czech Republic behind, Rick heads to Hungary and Budapest (originally three different cities, linked by the once-Blue Danube). While discussing the city's conversion from an Eastern Bloc satellite to a thriving tourist attraction, Rick freely indulges himself in gypsy music and goulash.
