Synopsis by Hal Erickson

In the sixth episode of Travels in Europe With Rick Steves, the peripatetic host goes through Tuscany and Umbria, the two Italian provinces between Florence and Rome. Rick climbs the towers of San Gimignano, navigates the alleyways of Assisi where St. Francis once walked, visits the "ultimate hill town bell tower" of Siena, and explores a 2,500-year-old Etruscan tomb. As a bonus, Rick shows the viewer the the lightness and economy with which pre-Roman pedestrians traveled can be applied to the vacationer of today.
