The Trains on Location series, narrated by TRAINS editor Kevin P. Keefe, takes the railroad enthusiast aboard freight and passenger trains bound for some of the most scenic areas in North America. The train lover gets a close-up look at the engines which power the trains as well as a tour of the cars and cargoes. Interviews with railroad workers and historians provide insights into the operations and history of each line. This episode is set in the spectacular Colorado landscape, where the BNSF and Union Pacific lines share 119 miles of track. The colorful rail and mining lore of the state comes to life in the production, recorded in stereo.
