Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Hagar (Alla Nazimova) is married to Gypsy chief Pharos (Frank Currier), but she leaves him for a wealthy roué, Bruce Griswold (Dodson Mitchell). She dies and Pharos determines to get revenge years later through his daughter Azah (also played by Nazimova). Azah is married off to Griswold, who is then poisoned. Although she is prosecuted for his death, Azah is acquitted and marries Henry Livingston, the man she has always loved (Charles Bryant, Nazimova's lover and partner). Nazimova's star was still on the rise when this picture was made, and although its plot was ridiculous, she received glowing reviews. Unfortunately, modern audiences will probably never get a chance to judge her performance for themselves as this film has been lost.
