Robert Earl and Sal Masekala are your hosts for this totally in-your-face look at the world of skateboarding with Tony Hawk's Gigantic Skatepark Tour 2001. Starring Tony Hawk, Mike Vallely, Eric Kosten, and many others, this documentary follows the world's top skaters on a tour throughout Europe and the U.S. Stopping at various parks to do extreme skating demos for crowds reaching the thousands, the guys show off never-before-seen stunts. Mat Hoffman does a roof jump, Jason Ellis does a half-pipe transfer to a street course, and Bam Margera attempts a 20-foot bomb drop. In between skating events, like the Vans Big Air Show in France, the guys goof off in all manner of athletic adventures, including paintball, go carting, and ATV racing. Tony Hawk figures prominently as the spokesman by appearing on MTV's Total Request Live and ESPN Sports Center.
