Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Gladys Brockwell is the pivotal figure in this melodramatic soap opera. Lorrie Hollis, a cabaret girl (Brockwell) is loved by two men, Richard Hallam (Bertram Grassby) and Marc Patton (Charles Clary). Although Hallam is lacking in character, Lorrie chooses him. When Hallam loses a lot of money -- some of which he embezzled -- in the stock market, he has Lorrie go to Patton, a stockbroker, and urge him to manipulate the market. Patton agrees, and Hallam makes a killing. But he's not happy because he believes that his wife compromised herself to accomplish the task. Soon he loses interest in Lorrie and takes up with the mercenary Rose Delvane (Jewel Carmen), ultimately casting Lorrie out of her own home. Patton, dismayed at the treatment she has received, makes sure Hallam is ruined when he has to battle him for supremacy over the Great Western Company. With Hallam broke, Rose dumps him and he shoots himself, allowing Patton and Lorrie to be together at last.
