This anthropological documentary from Australia records moments in the authentic tribal lives of members of an indigenous people of New Guinea, the Bedamini. It claims to be the only such record of a group now largely assimilated into western-style culture. Though the tribe has a reputation for ritual cannibalism and aggression, the documentary only records their everyday "camp" life and either eschews or was not able to record its less agreeable activities. The film only has narration for the first 20 minutes or so, beyond that, events are left unexplained. Some viewers may also question the complete authenticity of the record they are viewing, given the tribe's evident use of western-style axes and woven cloth.
