Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein
In this silent Buddy Roosevelt Western, a very young Jean Arthur plays Ruth Burroughs, the daughter of a beleaguered rancher (Charles Colby) whose valuable property is threatened by a greedy railroad company. Roosevelt plays a handsome neighbor who falls in love with Ruth and assists her in defeating both the railroad and the vicious Gorman gang. No different from scores of efficient but unremarkable silent Westerns, Thundering Through was directed by film editor Fred Bain and scripted by the prolific Betty Burbridge. Long before she became a star, Arthur toiled in many a quickly forgotten B-Western, twelve for Action Pictures alone.
