Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Antonio Moreno is Daniel Craig, who is convicted of manslaughter on circumstantial evidence and sentenced to 20 years behind bars. Chafing under the brutality of prison warden Samuel Green (DeWitt Jennings), Craig finds the opportunity to break free and, with the other convicts, take over the prison. The cons hold their own court to decide who will stay and who will leave. The proceedings are interrupted by Joan Gracie (Jean Calhoun), who has come to meet her father, Major Jerome Gracie, who has been appointed the new warden (Emmett King). Several prisoners escape, and Major Gracie -- who believes in the honor system -- promises justice to Craig if he is able to get the men to return. Craig gets them back. It is discovered that Green's lost son, Brewster (Starke Patterson), is the one who committed the murder for which Craig is serving time. He is cleared of the charge and wins Joan's love.
