Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Three friends live in a boarding house in New York City. Two of them, Nina Antinni (Clara Williams) and Paul Cardosa (George Fisher) are Italian, the other, Emil Vorstman (Charles Gunn) is Austrian. In the heat of World War I, the two men go to serve their countries and Nina goes overseas to volunteer her nursing skills. She does her work in an Italian village on the borderline. She encounters both her old pals, first Paul, who she decides to marry, and then Emil, when the Austrians capture the town. The Italians attack and take over the town once again. Emil is one of the soldiers captured, but because of their friendship, Paul makes sure he is able to escape.
