The legendary St. Thomas Boys' Choir - a Leipzig-based chorale group that originally included Johannes Sebastian Bach among its members - formally began in 1212. This 2012 classical music program honors the ensemble's 800th birthday with a special performance of Bach's 1727 St. Matthaus Passion. It was mounted, performed and filmed at St. Thomas Church on April 5-6, 2012; vocalists include tenor Wolfram Lattke, tenor Martin Lattke, soprano Christina Landshamer, alto Stefan Kahle, bass Klaus Mertens and bass Gotthold Schwarz.
